Signature Printing installs AMS LED-UV system, end of press UV system on Komori Lithrone LS840P+C

Signature Printing of East Providence, RI maintains their focus on embracing the changing needs of the business industry by installing an AMS LED-UV system, and end of press UV system on it's newly acquired Komori Lithrone LS840P+C recently installed by APT.   I spoke with Allen Jenkins, Executive Director of the International LED-UV Association, from Reno NV,  who availed himself to Signature for the training and installation of the LED-UV and Smart UV system. This type of installation typically takes 3 days.  Allen explained how the LED-UV won’t create as much heat or odor compared to the conventional UV printing presses. Excitedly he states, ” There is considerably less energy consumption, 60% less than a conventional press using infra-red, and 80% less than aUV press”. Air Motion System (AMS) was added with modular mounting positions in units 1,2,4,6 and 8for maximum flexibility. Allen states,“This system offers great benefits on a Perfector such as; excluding any marking issues after the Perfector."   AMS issued a booklet at Drupa 2016 called the AMS Look Book.  The Komori Lithrone LS840P+C now has all of the capabilities detailed in the Look Book with a single pass.  A priority for Signature is to maintain efficient and effective print solutions.  Allen attended Drupa this year and said it appeared to be successful, with many sales being completed.  He was on hand to educate potential customers on the benefits of LED-UV printing. Having worked in the industry for over 36 years, Allen provides his expertise as an independent printing consultant to commercial printers transitioning to energy curing.  He spends most of his time training and trouble shooting.  He strives to ensure the Printer is prepared before an installation by having the right consumables. “I like to prepare Printers to be successful quickly”.
